THE FIRST EVER BLOG POST

welcome to my blog!

Hello!

If you’re reading this, you’re reading the first-ever blog post by me, Sam Glomstad-Foster. I've never considered myself much of a writer and, if I’m being honest, I used to roll my eyes at the idea of blogging. However, starting my personal training LLC, I’ve had the urge to share some of my thoughts and ideas that I think relate to my work and how that has formed my approach to personal training.

As long as fitness and exercise have been a business, someone has always had a “magic” stretch, exercise, pill, or diet that’s going to transform you into the perfect human specimen. I’ll tell you upfront, that I am not that person. I’m not trying to sell you on anything besides the idea that exercise can improve your life, and that even the smallest changes can have a lifelong positive impact.

I’ve gained a lot of knowledge about the human body through schooling and my experience as a former division 1 track & field athlete. I also spent 6 years teaching elementary PE, which gave me an entirely different toolbox of experiences. Throughout those experiences, I’ve seen different things work well for some people, and those same things work poorly for others. Health and Wellness is not one-size-fits-all and there are no absolutes when it comes to getting healthier. Health and Wellness is a journey that I hope we can work on together, be it through this blog, or actual personal training with me.

Like I said to start out, I wouldn’t call myself a writer, and I don’t have any plans to win a Nobel prize anytime soon. I may not bring anything groundbreaking to the blog, but I do intend to bring a variety of information and opinions for a wide diversity of people on their health and wellness journey. If you’ve read this far, I appreciate it, and I’m going to wrap things up before it gets too boring.

Stay healthy

Sam
